Yesterday I forgot my bar clothes and had to bartend in my teacher clothes all night. Awkward.
We put on Jeopardy while we were opening. The contestants were all teachers. The double Jeopardy question was “What famous author’s biography, released in 2011, begins ‘And so it goes’?”
Guess how many got it right? None. Most upsetting.

Having so much work to do is all my fault for loving all my jobs so much. I can’t help it that my love of beer, bossing people around, and getting to hang out with kids have become lucrative…*
*the love of beer and love of hanging out with kids are obviously quite separate. Bossing people around is what I do at both jobs, though. How anyone stands me is a lucky mystery.
I grew up in a nice community where they will spend bazillions of dollars a year on snow plows to be known notoriously as the district that stays open when every other district in the county calls it quits.
I did not get a single snow day until high school, when I filtered into the district that included more areas.
Now I teach right back in the same snow-day hating district I grew up in,...

I have to admit I don’t totally hate having cable. I can watch How It’s Made, which is great.
Was it worth staying home from work? I don’t know. But the guy also installed the webbynuts at the same time, making it DEFINITELY worth it. I’ve never come so close to hitting my cellular data limit before.
